2008 AAR Legislative Agenda

HOA For Sale Sign Continuation – AAR may seek further statutory protections for sellers whose HOA restrict common marketing practices such as a for sale sign. 

Association Membership Health Plans - AAR will seek, if necessary, clarifying language to Arizona statutes to allow the association to offer group health plans to lower our member’s insurance premiums. 

Clean Air - As a result of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area poor air quality and violation status with the EPA, AAR continues to attend meetings at the Arizona Legislature regarding fugitive dust and what the next steps may be at the legislature. 

No Home Equity Theft Act - Oppose any enabling real estate transfer tax proposal.

Protect Private Property Rights - Monitor water and land use legislation for impacts on private property rights and unnecessary regulatory cost.

Lending Reform - Enact Loan Originator Licensing as part of a coalition dealing with lending abuse.
